How to cut a pig’s head offering
The Hungry Ghost Festival begins on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month. In 2024, this falls on 18 August.
You may notice offerings of food being left out for wandering ghosts. Papercuts and effigies are also burnt.
One of the simplest offerings to make is a papercut pig’s head.
